In Friday's non-league match, the visiting South Side Hornet football squad scored a close 8-6 triumph over the Marshall Bobcats.
The Hornet (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR). The Timberwolves come into the 8-Man - North (8 Man) match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Cedar Ridge tipped Hermitage (Hermitage, AR), 40-6, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Bobcats meet the Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 4. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 44-20 non-league win over Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR).
