Arkansas High School Football - Piggott overwhelmed by Newport

September 27, 2024: Piggott, AR 72454

The Newport Greyhounds walloped the host Piggott Mohawks football team by a score of 56-18 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the Rivercrest Colts (Wilson, AR) in a 3A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, October 4. Newport will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Colts enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 40-14 league win over Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR).

The Mohawks (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Harrisburg (Harrisburg, AR). The Hornets enter the 3A Region 3 challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Harrisburg was ripped by Rivercrest (Wilson, AR), 40-14, in a league challenge.
