The St. James Wildcats football squad scored 35 points and limited the host Ponchatoula Green Wave to 13 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, October 4. St. James will meet a Comets squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Comets record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Ponchatoula drops to 0-4 on the campaign. The Green wave host Independence (Independence, LA) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 1-3. Independence won 27-8 in their recent non-league battle against Albany (Albany, LA)
