Texas High School Football - Santa Gertrudis Academy crushed by San Diego

September 27, 2024: San Diego, TX 78384

San Diego Vaqueros (San Diego, TX) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Santa Gertrudis Academy Lions (Kingsville, TX), 50-14 in a league battle.

With the win, San Diego advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Vaqueros travel to Progreso (Progreso, TX) to play the Red Ants in a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, October 11. The Red Ants go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Progreso lost 54-0 in their recent league battle against Raymondville (Raymondville, TX)

Coming up next, the Lions battle the Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX) in a 3A-1 Region IV District 16 contest, on Friday, October 11. Santa Gertrudis Academy will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Badgers enter the contest with a 2-3 record after their 20-13 league win over Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX).
