The Cushing Academy Penguins (Ashburnham, MA) soccer nipped the visiting New Hampton School Huskies (New Hampton, NH), 1-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Penguins now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Winchendon for a NEPSAC Freelance challenge on Monday, September 30. Cushing Academy will encounter a Wapiti squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Marianapolis Prep (Thompson, CT). The Wapiti record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, New Hampton School moves to 1-5 on the year. The Huskies travel to Brewster Academy National (Wolfeboro, NH) to encounter the Bobcats in a Lakes Region challenge on Wednesday, October 2. The Bobcats go into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Brewster Academy National lost 9-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Hyde (Bath, ME)
