New Mexico High School Soccer - Rio Grande nudges Hobbs

The Rio Grande Ravens soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Hobbs Eagles to 1 in the Ravens non-league victory on Friday.
The Ravens now hold a 12-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Mesa for a 5A District 5 bout on Saturday, September 28. Rio Grande will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-6.
With the loss, Hobbs moves to 9-5 on the year. The Eagles host Roswell (Roswell, NM) to play the Coyotes in a 5A District 4 bout on Tuesday, October 1. The Coyotes go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Roswell won 9-1 in their recent non-league bout against Portales (Portales, NM)
