The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Truman Patriots (Independence, MO) and the host Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO), observed Truman's softball team prevail over Lafayette County by a tally of 12-4.

The Patriots (7-17) will now prepare for their bout against Holden (Holden, MO). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 13-11 record. In their last bout, Holden knocked off Harrisonville (Harrisonville, MO), 10-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Huskers clash with the Wright City Wildcats (Wright City, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 28. Lafayette County will attempt to advance on its 4-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to McDonald County (Anderson, MO).
