Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Wisconsin School for the Deaf Firebirds (Delavan, WI) and the host Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors (Talladega, AL), observed Wisconsin School for the Deaf's volleyball team hold off Alabama School for the Deaf by a count of 2-1.

The Firebirds (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against American School for the Deaf (West Hartford, CT). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, American School for the Deaf was tipped by Central Christian Academy (Southington, CT), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Silent Warriors battle the Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind Sentinels (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 28. Alabama School for the Deaf will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Sentinels enter the contest with a 0-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Lourdes Catholic (Nogales, AZ).
