Connecticut High School Football - Crosby thwarted by Torrington

Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Crosby Bulldogs (Waterbury, CT), 39-12 in a league match.

The Raiders (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Ansonia (Ansonia, CT). The Chargers come into the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Ansonia was beaten by Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT), 28-25, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Bulldogs confront the St. Paul Catholic Falcons (Bristol, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Tier 2 battle, on Friday, October 3. Crosby will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Falcons go into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 38-22 league win over Wilby (Waterbury, CT).
