Spectators at Saturday's league bout between the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) and the host Toll Gate Titans (Warwick, RI), saw Smithfield's football team bounce Toll Gate by a final score of 36-0.

With the win, Smithfield advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Sentinels host Hope (Providence, RI) to battle the Blue Wave in a Division IV contest on Friday, October 3. The Blue Wave enter the contest with a record of 2-2. Hope lost 51-20 in their recent league contest against Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI)

Coming up next, the Titans confront the North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI) in a Division IV contest, on Thursday, October 2. Toll Gate will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
