The Mid Valley Spartans smashed the host Old Forge Blue Devils soccer team by a tally of 10-2 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next, the Spartans face the Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 29. Mid Valley will attempt to advance on its 10-2 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 4-5 record after their 5-0 league loss to Wyoming Area (Exeter, PA).
The Blue Devils (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA). The Chargers go into the Lackawanna 3 challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Carbondale Area was overwhelmed by Forest City (Forest City, PA), 6-2, in a league challenge.
