The Firestone Falcons soccer squad scored 6 points and held the visiting Coventry Comets to 3 in the Falcons non-league victory on Saturday.
The Falcons now hold a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Buchtel for a Akron City contest on Tuesday, September 30. Firestone will face a Griffins team coming off a 10-2 league loss to Garfield (Akron, OH). The Griffins record now stands at 0-1.
The Comets (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Norton (Norton, OH). The Panthers enter the Metro Athletic contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Norton by Highland (Medina, OH), 6-2, in a non-league contest.
