In Saturday's non-league test, the visiting Franklin Regional Panthers soccer team scored a close 2-0 triumph over the Plum Mustangs.

With the triumph, Franklin Regional advances its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Panthers host Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA) to clash with the Leopards in a WPIAL AAA 4 test on Thursday, October 2. The Leopards go into the outing with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, September 30. Plum will attempt to improve on its 10-2 season record. The Gators go into the outing with a 3-7 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA).
