Colorado High School Softball - Douglas County gets by Overland

September 27, 2025: Castle Rock, CO 80104

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO) and the visiting Overland Trailblazers (Aurora, CO), observed Douglas County's softball team get by Overland by a tally of 9-8.

The Huskies (5-11) will now prepare for their bout against Highlands Ranch (Highlands Ranch, CO). The Falcons go into the 5A/4A Continental bout with a 1-15 record. In their last bout, Highlands Ranch was nipped by Regis Jesuit (Aurora, CO), 11-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Trailblazers battle the Smoky Hill Buffaloes (Aurora, CO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 30. Overland will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Buffaloes enter the contest with a 7-12 record after their 12-6 non-league win over Doherty (Colorado Springs, CO).
