Spectators at Saturday's non-league contest between the Loveland Red Wolves (Loveland, CO) and the host Fairview Knights (Boulder, CO), saw Loveland's softball squad nip Fairview by a score of 12-5.

With the triumph, Loveland improves its record to 7-12 on the year. The Red Wolves travel to Greeley West (Greeley, CO) to face the Spartans in a 5A/4A Northern contest on Thursday, October 2. The Spartans enter the contest with a record of 9-9.

The Knights now hold a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Mead for a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks bout on Monday, September 29. Fairview will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 16-6 non-league loss to Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO). The Mavericks record now stands at 9-10.
