Colorado High School Softball - Mead succumbs to Pueblo West

September 27, 2025: Pueblo West, CO 81007

In Saturday's non-league test, the Pueblo West Cyclones (Pueblo West, CO) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO), by a tally of 16-6.

Next, the Cyclones clash with the Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 5A CSML contest, on Tuesday, September 30. Pueblo West will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Spartans enter the contest with a 1-13 record after their 12-6 non-league loss to Smoky Hill (Aurora, CO).

The Mavericks now hold a 9-10 record. They play next when they host Fairview for a 5A/4A/3A Granite Peaks contest on Monday, September 29. Mead will face a Knights squad coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to Loveland (Loveland, CO). The Knights record now stands at 7-11.
