The Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL) volleyball were victorious over the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Rockets now possess a 3-17 record. They play next when they travel to Illini Bluffs for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 27. Roanoke-Benson will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 2-1 league win over Brimfield (Brimfield, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Abingdon/Avon drops to 1-16 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL) to clash with the Flying Geese in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 27.
