Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Andale Indians (Andale, KS) and the host Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS), observed Andale's volleyball team top Newton by a count of 2-0.
The Indians (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Northwest (Wichita, KS). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, Northwest achieved victory over West (Wichita, KS), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Railroaders now own a 4-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Eisenhower for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Newton will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Goddard (Goddard, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 13-5.
