Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) and the host Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY), observed Apollo's volleyball team top Butler County by a count of 2-0.

The Eagles (17-7) will now prepare for their contest against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Monroe County was knocked off by Clinton County (Albany, KY), 3-2, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 27. Butler County will attempt to improve on its 9-18 season record. The Cardinals go into the battle with a 6-13 record after their 3-2 league loss to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY).
