Kentucky High School Volleyball - Russell County tips Apollo

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Russell County Lakers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Apollo Eagles.

The Lakers (19-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Nelson County (Bardstown, KY). The Cardinals enter the non-league challenge with a 2-13 record. In their last challenge, Nelson County was tipped by Thomas Nelson (Bardstown, KY), 3-1, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Butler County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 27. Apollo will meet a Bears team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Cloverport (Cloverport, KY). The Bears record now stands at 9-13.
