The Mesquite Wildcats nudged the visiting Arvada West Wildcats volleyball team by a tally of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Wildcats now have a 16-3 record. They play next when they host Saguaro for a 4A - Desert Sky outing on Monday, September 29. Mesquite will play a Sabercats team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Mesquite (Gilbert, AZ). The Sabercats record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Arvada West drops to 10-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ) to play the Vipers in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 27. The Vipers go into the game with a record of 8-7. Verrado won 2-1 in their recent non-league game against Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ)
