McGehee Hawks (New Orleans, LA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Assumption Mustangs (Napoleonville, LA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, McGehee improves its record to 10-3 on the season. The Hawks host Slidell (Slidell, LA) to face the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 11-4. Slidell won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Northshore (Slidell, LA)

The Mustangs now own a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hammond for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Assumption will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Loranger (Loranger, LA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 10-6.
