In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Axtell Eagles volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sacred Heart Irish.

The Eagles (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Doniphan West (Highland, KS). The Mustangs come into the Twin Valley challenge with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Doniphan West gained a win over Clifton-Clyde (Clyde, KS), 2-0, in a league test.

The Irish now sport a 12-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hanover for a non-league test on Monday, September 29. Sacred Heart will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Sacred Heart (Falls City, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 19-3.
