The Bertha-Hewitt Bears volleyball squad (Bertha, MN), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Hancock Owls (Hancock, MN)

The Owls (9-11) will now prepare for their contest against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 9-4 record. In their last battle, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was edged by Sauk Centre (Sauk Centre, MN), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

The Bears now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parkers Prairie for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Bertha-Hewitt will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Underwood (Underwood, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 9-2.
