Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI) and the visiting Garden City Cougars (Garden City, MI), observed Birch Run's volleyball team top Garden City by a count of 2-0.
The Panthers (21-6) will now prepare for their battle against Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy (Brighton, MI). The Sentinels go into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy achieved victory over Oakland Christian (Auburn Hills, MI), 3-2, in a league battle.
The Cougars now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corunna for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Garden City will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lake Fenton (Linden, MI). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-9.
