Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), observed Bishop Gorman's volleyball team top Highland by a count of 2-0.

The Gaels (23-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Mater Dei notched a victory over Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the JSerra Catholic Lions (San Juan Capistrano, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 27. Highland will attempt to improve on its 14-4 season record. The Lions go into the battle with a 12-9 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ).
