Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX) and the visiting Hico Tigers (Hico, TX), observed Burnet's volleyball team top Hico by a count of 3-1.

The Bulldogs (20-6) will now prepare for their contest against Gateway College Preparatory (Georgetown, TX). The Gators enter the 4A Region III District 24 contest with a 19-6 record. In their last contest, Gateway College Preparatory notched a victory over Jarrell (Jarrell, TX), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Tigers battle the Bangs Dragons (Bangs, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Hico will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record.
