Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Calumet Copper Kings (Calumet, MI) and the visiting Ubly Bearcats (Ubly, MI), observed Calumet's volleyball team top Ubly by a count of 2-0.

The Copper Kings (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Marquette (Marquette, MI). The Sentinels go into the non-league battle with a 4-7 record.

The Bearcats now own a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harbor Beach for a Greater Thumb - East battle on Tuesday, September 30. Ubly will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Capac (Capac, MI). The Pirates record now stands at 8-7.
