In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Pillager Huskies volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Cass Lake-Bena Panthers.
The Huskies (8-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Staples-Motley (Staples, MN). The Cardinals come into the non-league challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last test, Staples-Motley went down by Frazee (Frazee, MN), 3-0, in a league test.
The Panthers now sport a 1-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Upsala for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Cass Lake-Bena will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-10.
