Illinois High School Volleyball - Central can't hold off Guilford

September 27, 2025: Rockford, IL 61114

The Guilford Vikings tipped the visiting Central Rockets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Vikings confront the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) in a Northern Illinois NIC-10 game, on Tuesday, September 30. Guilford will attempt to advance on its 12-7 season record. The Pretzels enter the bout with a 7-11 record after their 2-0 league win over Jefferson (Rockford, IL).

With the loss, Central drops to 12-8 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Cary-Grove (Cary, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a Fox Valley bout on Tuesday, September 30. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 5-17. Cary-Grove lost 2-0 in their recent league bout against Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL)
