Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Hamilton Huskies (Chandler, AZ) and the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), observed Hamilton's volleyball team hold off Chaparral by a tally of 2-1.

The Huskies (15-7) will now prepare for their test against South Salem (Salem, OR). The Saxons go into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, South Salem was edged by Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Firebirds now own a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Henry for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Chaparral will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Boone County (Florence, KY). The Crusaders record now stands at 16-5.
