With the win, Corning-Painted Post improves its record to 7-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Ithaca (Ithaca, NY) to encounter the Little Red in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. The Little Red go into the battle with a record of 4-0.

The Sabers now own a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oneonta for a Section 4 Southern Tier contest on Thursday, October 2. Susquehanna Valley will meet a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-1 league win over Windsor Central (Windsor, NY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 1-3.
