In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Minnewaska Area Lakers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons.
The Lakers (14-0) will now prepare for their challenge against New York Mills (New York Mills, MN). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, New York Mills was beaten by Sebeka (Sebeka, MN), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Falcons meet the Breckenridge Cowboys (Breckenridge, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 27. Fertile-Beltrami will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record.
