In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Kennedy Crusaders volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Francis W. Parker Colonels.
The Crusaders (11-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Chicago, IL). The Mustangs enter the non-league challenge with a 5-7 record. In their last challenge, Northside nudged Agricultural Science (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
The Colonels now own a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mather for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Francis W. Parker will face a Rangers squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Ogden International (Chicago, IL). The Rangers record now stands at 9-4.
