Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the visiting Owensboro Catholic Aces (Owensboro, KY), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Frederick Douglass improves its record to 8-14 on the season. The Broncos travel to West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY) to face the Colts in a non-league test on Tuesday, October 7. The Colts go into the test with a record of 19-8.
The Aces now sport a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryan Station for a non-league game on Saturday, September 27. Owensboro Catholic will face a Defenders squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lafayette (Lexington, KY). The Defenders record now stands at 12-10.
