The Great Bend Panthers volleyball squad (Great Bend, KS), was defeated 2-0 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host St. James Academy Thunder (Lenexa, KS)

With the win, St. James Academy improves its record to 15-5 on the season. The Thunder host Saint Thomas Aquinas (Overland Park, KS) to encounter the Saints in a Eastern Kansas battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Saints go into the battle with a record of 13-2. Saint Thomas Aquinas won 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Maize South (Wichita, KS)

The Panthers now own a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blue Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Great Bend will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Blue Valley West (Stilwell, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 7-8.
