In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Unity Christian Crusaders volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Harper Creek Beavers.

The Crusaders (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hamilton (Hamilton, MI). The Hawkeyes come into the Ottawa-Kent - Black challenge with a 18-7 record. In their last challenge, Hamilton edged Three Rivers (Three Rivers, MI), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Beavers face the Forest Hills Central Rangers (Grand Rapids, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 27. Harper Creek will attempt to advance on its 14-12 season record. The Rangers go into the game with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Forest Hills Northern (Grand Rapids, MI).
