Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Letcher County Central Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) and the visiting Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY), observed Letcher County Central's volleyball team hold off Paris by a tally of 2-1.

The Cougars (14-9) will now prepare for their test against Paintsville (Paintsville, KY). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 13-8 record. In their last test, Paintsville tipped Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Greyhounds now own a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Raceland for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Paris will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY). The Rams record now stands at 8-11.
