Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) and the visiting Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN), observed Russell County's volleyball team top Macon County by a count of 2-0.

The Lakers (17-9) will now prepare for their contest against John Hardin (Elizabethtown, KY). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, John Hardin was knocked off by Washington County (Springfield, KY), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tigers meet the Apollo Eagles (Owensboro, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 27. Macon County will attempt to move on its 2-17 season record. The Eagles go into the battle with a 15-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Owensboro (Owensboro, KY).
