The Melrose Dutchmen volleyball team (Melrose, MN), was beaten 2-0 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN)

The Cougars (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers enter the Big 9 contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Albert Lea was beaten by Mankato West (Mankato, MN), 3-0, in a league test.

The Dutchmen now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Henning for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Melrose will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Barnesville (Barnesville, MN). The Hornets record now stands at 4-2.
