The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) and the host Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), saw Morton's volleyball squad nudge Taylorville by a score of 2-1.

The Potters (14-2) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Washington, IL). The Panthers enter the Mid-Illini contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, Washington got by Chicago Christian (Palos Heights, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tornadoes battle the Effingham Hearts (Effingham, IL) in a Apollo battle, on Thursday, October 2. Taylorville will attempt to improve on its 20-4 season record.
