North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mountain Island Charter tips Polk County

September 27, 2025: Columbus, NC 28722

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), observed Mountain Island Charter's volleyball team hold off Polk County by a count of 2-1.

The Raptors (17-10) will now prepare for their battle against Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 14-2 record. In their last battle, Community School of Davidson tipped Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Wolverines now own a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Heritage for a Western Highlands 2A/3A contest on Tuesday, September 30. Polk County will battle a Cougars team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-10.
