Mississippi High School Volleyball - Newton County over South Jones

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Newton County Cougars volleyball squad scored a 2-0 win over the South Jones Braves.

With the win, Newton County advances its record to 30-5 on the season. The Cougars host Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS) to face the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 11-12. Northeast Jones lost 3-2 in their recent league test against East Central (Moss Point, MS)

The Braves now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ripley for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. South Jones will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 18-5.
