In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host North Salem Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Parkrose Broncos.

The Vikings (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against South Salem (Salem, OR). The Saxons enter the 6A Central Valley challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, South Salem beat Sacred Heart (Louisville, KY), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Broncos meet the Hillsboro Spartans (Hillsboro, OR) in a 5A Northwest Oregon challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Parkrose will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to La Salle (Milwaukie, OR).
