In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Olentangy Liberty Patriots.
The Wildcats (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH). The Yellow Jackets enter the Northern Lakes challenge with a 14-5 record. In their last challenge, Perrysburg beat Lake (Millbury, OH), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots meet the Upper Arlington Golden Bears (Columbus, OH) in a Ohio Capital - Central test, on Tuesday, September 30. Olentangy Liberty will attempt to improve on its 11-7 season record. The Golden Bears go into the test with a 14-4 record after their 3-2 league win over Hilliard Bradley (Hilliard, OH).
Match Summary
SYLVANIA - Caturday in Sylvania as the Wildcats hosted Olentangy Liberty for their fifth straight home match and the Cats were able to finish the day with either sixth sweep in a row to move to 11-6 overall.
Northview was led by senior Bri Langenderfer with a team-high 13 kills, hitting .545, while adding 6 digs and 3 blocks; and senior Talia Twigg with 13 kills, hitting .225, while adding a team-high 15 digs. Freshman Lilly Smith added 5 kills and both middle blockers, Reese Holmes and Frankie Ramsdell-Washington added 3 a piece. Junior setter, Alayna Sauer, dished out 31 assists, 4 kills of her own, and 7 digs. Sophomore libero, Jade Hagan added 11 digs; and juniors Kyra Ervin and Charlotte Narewski added 9 and 7 digs respectively.
Northview returns to NLL play as they travel to Perrysburg on Tuesday.
