Illinois High School Volleyball - St. Elmo/Brownstown tips Oblong

September 28, 2021: St. Elmo, IL 62458

St. Elmo/Brownstown Eagles (St. Elmo, IL) backers left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Oblong Panthers (Oblong, IL), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Eagles battle the North Clay Cardinals (Louisville, IL) in a National Trail match, on Friday, October 1. St. Elmo/Brownstown will attempt to better on its 12-11 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 15-6 record after their 2-0 league loss to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL).

With the loss, Oblong drops to 8-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host Martinsville (Martinsville, IL) to battle the Bluestreaks in a Egyptian Illini match on Thursday, September 30. The Bluestreaks come into the match with a record of 10-13. Martinsville won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Chrisman (Chrisman, IL)
