The Colleton County Cougars football team (Walterboro, SC), was ripped 42-0 in Wednesday's league challenge with the visiting James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC)

The Trojans (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against May River (Bluffton, SC). The Sharks come into the AAAA Region 7 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, May River trounced Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC), 49-14, in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hilton Head Island for a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, October 7. Colleton County will meet a Seahawks team coming off a 35-32 league loss to Bluffton (Bluffton, SC). The Seahawks record now stands at 2-4.
