North Carolina High School Football - Mountain Island Charter succumbs to Winston-Salem Prep

September 28, 2022: Winston-Salem, NC 27101

The Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix thwarted the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptor football team by a count of 18-6 in Wednesday's league outing.

With the win, Winston-Salem Prep upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a 1A/2A West Conference A outing on Friday, October 7. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 5-1. Community School of Davidson won 42-16 in their recent league outing against Carver (Winston-Salem, NC)

With the loss, Mountain Island Charter moves to 2-3 on the season. The Raptor host Christ the King (Huntersville, NC) to encounter the Crusaders in a 1A/2A West Conference A outing on Friday, October 7. The Crusaders go into the outing with a record of 5-1. Christ the King lost 21-10 in their recent league outing against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC)
