The Saugus Sachems held off the visiting Swampscott Big Blue soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Wednesday's league match.
The Sachems now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Winthrop for a Northeastern - Small match on Friday, September 30.
With the loss, Swampscott drops to 4-2 on the season. The Big blue travel to Wilmington (Wilmington, MA) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, October 28. The Wildcats come into the match with a record of 3-3.
