The Union Academy Cardinals football team (Monroe, NC), was beaten 20-10 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC)

The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Robinson achieved victory over Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 44-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Robinson for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 13.
